KF Assembly
The KF or NW vacuum fittings consists of two identical flanges, a center-ring and an aluminum clamp. This assembly has a wingnut fastener which helps to frequently connect and disconnect without any tools.
The KF or NW flange surface have 15o angle. This helps to create effective vacuum seal by clamp. The mating flange surfaces will compress an O-ring to generate seal.

List of material used for KF or NW Vacuum fittings
KF Clamp: Aluminium
O- ring: Viton or NBR
Center Ring: 304 S.S
Clamps are also available with Nickel plating for corrosion resistance. Viton can sustain temperatures about 150o and NBR about 80o.
It is very important to know chemical resistant of materials when we design any vacuum equipment or machinery for pharma and food industry.

ISO Vacuum fittings
The components of ISO flange system are defined by the international Standards Organization (ISO). The construction of ISO Flange series includes two similar flanges clamped together. They are clamped together with metal center ring and elastomer O-ring between them. ISO components are reusable and re changeable with other ISO components or assemblies.
Materials used for ISO vacuum fittings:
Blanks and Flanges: 304 S.S (also other materials)
Retainer Rings: 304 S.S (also other materials)
Centering Ring: 304 S.S (also other materials)
Outer Ring: Aluminum
Clamps: Aluminum, S.S, Plated Steel
O-rings: Viton, NBR
ISO vacuum fittings are versatile because of the many ways in which components can be assembled.
- Double Wall (Claw) clamp
This assembly simply connects two pairs of ISO Flanges. It is the most commonly used configuration.
- Bolted Non-rotatable
Two non-rotatable flanges connected with bolts in normal way.
- Single Wall Clamp
Single wall clamps are used to join and ISO flange to a tapped flange on pump, chamber or Gate Valve.
- Bolted Rotatable
This fastening method allows the ISO flange to be rotated for ease of component alignment. Additionally, a rotatable bolt ring can be used to fasten an ISO flange to a non-rotatable flange using bolt.
CF Assembly
The CF standard assemblies are used in ultra-high vacuum (UHV) technology. The material and connections must fulfill particularly high demands in order to generate ultra-high vacuum.
CF Flanges are also manufactured from stainless steel. Rotatable flanges consist of two parts, an inner part with the seal face and outer part with bolt holes. CF flanges have groove on vacuum side for reception of gasket and a knife edge as the sealing surface.
How it works?
UHV technology needs low leak rates and high temperatures. This is the reason flat gasket made of oxygen free (OFHC)copper is used to achieve sealing. This gasket only used once because it gets deformed by the knife edge.
Materials used:
Blanks & flanges: 304 S.S
Gaskets: OFHC copper or Viton
